Help save young lives by playing MU! This month, MU ONLINE is teaming up with Extra Life, a special program run through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals working to heal kids through the power of video games.
Join Team MU ONLINE on Extra Life.org, pledge to play MU for 25 hours and ask your friends and family to support your gaming marathon by donating online. All of the proceeds will benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which provides care for millions of kids who are suffering from life-threatening diseases like cancer and cystic fibrosis.
Plus you'll receive special in-game rewards for reaching certain fundraising levels (see below). The Team MU ONLINE player who raises the most money for Extra Life will win the Grand Prize, a coveted New Pentagram with a 4-Slot Element of Choice.

• Visit http://www.extra-life.org/team/teammuonline and click "Join This Team."

• Register for a FREE account with Extra Life.

• Once registration is complete, visit the "Dashboard" section. Click on "Your
  Fundraising Page" in the right column and select "Edit Your Page." Enter your
  in-game character name and server name to the "Personal Message" section,
  followed by a message to your supporters. (Feel free to use the sample copy
  included below).

• Start raising money! Tell your friends and family you've pledged to play MU for 25
  hours to raise money for kids in need. Ask them to donate online via your Extra Life
  fundraising page.

• Go viral! E-mail the link to your Extra Life fundraising page to everyone you know.
  Don't forget to post it on Facebook and Twitter as well.

• Pick a day between now and December 27 to play MU ONLINE for 25 hours.
  Feel free to spread your hours out over several days (Ex: 5 hours a day for 5 days).

• Broadcast your gameplay live through any streaming service (Twitch, YouTube, etc).

• At the end of the event period, the MU Team will check your fundraising page to see
  how much you've raised and determine how many rewards you've earned.

Raise $100    : Receive 50 Jewels of Soul

Raise $250    : Receive a Golden Fenrir and 50 Jewels of Soul

Raise $500    : Receive a Ring 6 Option, Golden Fenrir and 50 Jewels of Soul

Raise $1,000 : Receive a rare Evil's Cursed Wing (+15 / Luck / Two Options),
                      Ring 6 Option, Golden Fenrir and 50 Jewels of Soul.

A New Pentagram with a 4-Slot Element of Choice

• Participants must be at least 18 years old.

• You must be registered with Extra Life and be a part of Team MU ONLINE in order to
  participate.

• All players must include their in-game character name and server name in the
  "Personal Message" section of their Extra Life page in order to receive rewards.

• Rewards are distributed based on the amounts raised according to U.S. currency
  (See below for information on international methods of payment).

• All donations must be collected by 6:00 pm (GST) on December 27, 2013

What payment methods are available?

All donations are collected through PayPal, which also offers international methods of payment to players living outside of the United States.

Which hospital should I choose?

If you live in the United States or Canada, feel free to choose your own hospital or select the facility closest to you. If you live in another country, there are three international options available (INT'L Boston Children's - in Boston, Mass, INT'L SickKids - in Toronto, Ontario, INT'L Children's National Medical Center - in Washington, D.C.) All three facilities provide care for young patients in North America who are visiting from other countries.

Do I have to play MU ONLINE for 25 hours straight?

No. If you feel more comfortable playing the game for a few hours each day, please feel free to do so. Just make sure you broadcast your gameplay via livestream and accumulate at least 25 hours. If you decide to tackle all 25 hours in one day, please take breaks throughout the day and implement all applicable safety measures. If this becomes too overwhelming, you can also tag team with other MU players. Please visit the Safety Notice page at www.extra-life.org for more tips on how to game wisely.

Where will the donations go?

ALL proceeds collected through Extra Life will benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, where it will be used to care for young patients who are suffering from life threatening illnesses and injuries sustained by accidents. WEBZEN and MU ONLINE will not receive any of the funds.
