Hello, this is the MU Online Team.

First and foremost, we sincerely and deeply apologize for the great inconvenience and concern caused by the unexpected and abnormal circumstances regarding your game access.

Around 14:00 (UTC) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, an external attack occurred on Global MU Online, which led to a serious issue where GM authority was abnormally granted to all user accounts.
This resulted in a significant compromise of system stability and game balance.

Recognizing the severity of the issue, and to prevent further damage, we decided to perform a server shutdown and game data rollback via an emergency notice on Thursday, October 2nd.

We have since thoroughly analyzed the cause and applied defensive code to strengthen security, successfully securing stability.

We are truly sorry once again that we had no choice but to rollback the game to the stable data point before the attack occurred.

In addition, please check the information below regarding Wcoin and Mysterious Stone rankings affected by this incident.

1. Wcoin and Mysterious Stone Ranking Information
- Wcoin Re-issue
Purchased items with Wcoins that are moved to the inventory during the affected time until the start of maintenance on October 2nd will be investigated and fully re-issued.

However, this process might take several days and Wcoins will be given sequentially.

- Items that are in Xshop
Purchased items that are not used will not be affected by rollback and will stay in the Xshop storage.
For this reason Items from Xshop will not be re-issued

- Mysterious Stone Ranking
Ranking points will be restored based on the logs from the time of the rollback.


2. Recurrence Prevention and Compensation Information
We apologize once more for the deep inconvenience and disappointment caused by this incident.
The Global MU Online Team will use this incident as an opportunity to thoroughly inspect all external attack vectors and security vulnerabilities, and we will further strengthen our security system to ensure that the same problem never occurs again.

Furthermore, we have prepared a compensation reward that can be claimed on the in-game shop for all users.
