Hello Everyone!

As some of you might know our reply speed on tickets submitted by players has been delayed a lot lately, and we apologize for that, and we thank you all for your patience.

We would like to inform you the reason for this is the amount of tickets claiming their accounts were “hacked” increased dramatically. After many hours verifying in our logs constantly for these reports, we came to the conclusion that over 85% of claimed “hacked” accounts were players trying to take advantage of our service to try to duplicate their items. These fake “hacked” cases are keeping our team from getting to the other tickets, and we apologize for that.

Please know that these players will be dealt with accordingly.

Due to this mass number of exploit/fraud attempts we would like to at this time to officially announce that Webzen will no longer be held responsible for item interaction, both voluntary and involuntary. Players are responsible for keeping their account safe and out of other people’s hands.

Please note that Webzen does not condone to account sharing, and we are no longer held responsible for anything done by both wanted and unwanted guests using your account.

Here are some hints and tips from webzen to our users:

1. Keep your computer clean. Run at least an anti-virus on a weekly basis. Anti-trojans are also a plus.

a. At the very least make sure nothing is running that shouldn’t be, by doing the following:

Press the start button in your windows

On the run/execute box type: msconfig

On the “start-up” tab press the “disable all” button

Click Apply

Click OK

Allow the PC to restart

Once it re-opens check the box that will open and click “ok”

2. Change your password at least every other month.

a. Keep in mind to use something random (not your birth date, name, login, etc)

b. Make sure you are not using the same password for anything else, keep your game password different from your e-mail, forums, fansites.

3. NEVER provide your password to anyone.

a. GMs DO NOT NEED your password to have access to your account. We have tools that we use so that your password is only know by you.

b. If anyone provides a link do NOT log in. If it is a promotion/event for a Webzen game you should navigate through the site in order to get there. (there are sites that look almost like ours that are used by people trying to steal your account). The only time it is 100% safe to log in to a link provided to you is if is submitted as a REPLY from a ticket you opened to our support team.

4. If you are going to use your account on a PC that is not only yours, for example in a cyber café, change your password when you are done using.

Again we deeply apologize for the extensive delays in replies.

Thank you for understanding,

The Webzen Support Team
